CM urge youth to adopt self-employment in tourism sector

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat has said that nature has bestowed immense beauty on Uttarakhand and lakhs of tourists visit the state to have its’ glimpse. Encouraging the youth to adopt homestay schemes to start self-employment, he said that the state government has been trying hard to improve tourist facilities. This was stated by Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat while addressing people at a multi- purpose camp at Ghat.
Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat said that the state government is fully committed to the development of the state and every effort will be made for the development of the Ghat area. He further said that diesel, turpentine, tar coal and power is being produced from Pirul. The pirul collected near the villages could be used easily to produce power. He announced that the state government takes full responsibility to buy the power produced from pirul. He also encouraged the farmers to adopt farming of roses and peas to increase their income. He said that a kilogram of rose oil is being sold at Rs. 12 lakh and farmers living in higher hills can earn well by adopting rose cultivation.
Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat listened to the grievances of the people at the multi-purpose camp. A total of 315 complaints regarding road, education, water, power, housing, compensation and economic relief were presented before the Chief Minister. Listening to the grievances, problems and suggestions seriously, Chief Minister directed the officials to dispose them off on priority basis. He said that no leniency would be tolerated in solving the public grievances. The Chief Minister also felicitated wife and father of martyred soldier Jagdish Purohit. Keeping in view the problems of garbage accumulation and disposal of plastic waste in Ghat market, Chief Minister announced new machines for garbage disposal, start of Ghat-Dehradun roadways bus service, four additional classrooms in Government Inter College, Lavani, two additional class rooms at Government Inter College, Bura, strengthening of Nandadevi temple-Kurud pathway and beautification of Barasskund temple.
For the development of the region, Chief Minister gave a gift to them by announcing issuance of government orders for road construction from Setal up to Letala, Pranmati,Sharmgoan,badguna (Kanol tok), from kilometer nine on Salbagad Bura motor road to Bura-Aala, Jakhona-Setal road, new road from Bengali to Ruisan and new road from Sutol-Kanol to Vaan. He also directed the PWD department to prepare an estimate for road construction up to Ghat Degree College.
The people of the area also presented a 14 point charter of their demands to the Chief Minister during the multi-purpose camp. They demanded widening and concretization of Nandprayag-Ghat road, sanction of building for Degree college, sanction for polytechnique, creation of posts of deputy managers at tehsil level, filling of vacant posts of teachers in high school and intermediate colleges, hospital building at Setal, ANM centre at Sarpani, Allopathic hospitals at Barasskund and Dhooni, and different roads and drinking water schemes. Earlier, the Chief Minister also inspected the various stalls put up by various departments at the multi-purpose camps at Ghat to give benefit to the local people. Free health check-up and free medicines were given to people at the health camp.
Uttarakhand Higher Education Minister dr Dhan singh rawat and local legislator Munni Devi Shah also thanked the local people for making the ruling party win the Tharali assembly by-assembly election and assured to solve the problems of the area.
